OVERVIEW
OUR
HISTORY
In the year 2000, The Family Foundation
(TFF) decided to implement
Community Impact Committees (CIC's) throughout Virginia to create more
grass roots support to strengthen families and churches.
Just as The Family
Foundation functions as an independent, Virginia arm of James Dobson's Focus
on the Family, each community CIC functions as an arm of The Family
Foundation.
In January 2001, TFF contacted a few individuals in Culpeper to ask them to help
launch a CIC in Culpeper.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to be a Christ-centered team working with The Family Foundation to positively impact Culpeper and nearby communities by strengthening families, churches and government.
|
|
OUR PURPOSE
Just as The Family Foundation functions as an independent arm of James Dobson's Focus
on the Family in Virginia, the Culpeper CIC will function as an
independent arm of Focus on the Family in Culpeper.
The Culpeper CIC will serve as a think tank and as a means to
communicate ideas. We intend to network people and organizations
to help them find resources to address a wide variety of
community needs.

OUR STRATEGIC
OBJECTIVES are to initiate change by:
-
Educating – to inform and teach members of the
community on how they can promote biblical principles in our government,
businesses, schools, and community.
-
Equipping – to equip citizens, churches, and
governments with the most accurate and timely information on issues affecting
families.
-
Alerting– to serve as a “Watchman on the Wall,” sounding the alarm when people of faith
need to take action.
-
Orchestrating – to involve people of faith
to encourage, promote, and represent family friendly
activities and public policy in Virginia and our communities.
