KICK-OFF MEETING for
the Culpeper CIC
Sunday June 3, 2001
Reception 5-6 pm, Speakers 6-8 pm
The purpose of the meeting will be to hear David Barton's message, to introduce community members to
The Family Foundation (TFF) and Career Partners, and to share a vision
of what the CIC's can do for communities.
Pastor Mark Jarvis, President of the Culpeper Ministerial Association
and Pastor at Open Door Baptist Church, will serve as emcee and arrange
for opening and closing prayers.

Founder and President of WallBuilders, a national pro-family organization which distributes historical, legal, and statistical information, and helps citizens become active in their local schools and communities. WallBuilders is a name taken from the Bible book of Nehemiah. And just as Nehemiah led a grassroots movement in Jerusalem to rebuild the walls of that city and restore its strength and honor, so, too, WallBuilders seeks to energize the grassroots today to rebuild that which makes America strong its constitutional, moral, and religious foundations.
Appointed by the Texas State Board of Education to help develop the History/Social Studies standards for Texas students (TEKS; 1997). Selected by the California Academic Standards Commission to help develop History/Social Science Standards for California students (1998). Also involved in the review process for history standards in several other states and has testified at several legislative proceedings on public policies for teaching history in the classroom. Holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oral Roberts University and an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from Pensacola Christian College.
Recipient of several national and international awards, including the Daughters of the American Revolution Medal of Honor; the George Washington Honor Medal; several Angel Awards, Dove Awards, and Telly Awards for excellence in media and educational medium; Who’s Who in America (1997, 1999); Who’s Who in the World (1996, 1999); Who’s Who in American Education (1996, 1997); International Who’s Who of Professionals (1996); Two Thousand Notable American Men Hall of Fame (1995); Who’s Who in the South and Southwest (1995, 1999); Who’s Who Among Outstanding Americans (1994); Outstanding Young Men in America (1990); and numerous other awards.

David and his wife, Cheryl, reside with their three children, Damaris, Timothy, and Stephen, in Aledo,
